Who is Bucky Barnes?
Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, aka “Bucky” Barnes, has been Steve Roger’s, aka Captain America’s, best friend and sidekick since childhood in Brooklyn, NY.
He first appeared in 1940 when they joined the army together during WWII. Eventually, the two become the top Army special ops agents of SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) fighting against the Red Skull in the Nazi terrorist group called Hydra.
While fighting Hydra with Steve Roger, aka Captain America, in 1943 Bucky falls from a speeding train high up in a mountainous region and of course, we all assume he is dead. Who could survive a fall like that? The first thing we have to remember, however, is when Captain America rescued Bucky from Hydra, Bucky had been experimented on by Dr. Arnim Zola. Was Dr. Zola using Dr. Abraham Erskine’s Super Soldier formula on Bucky when he was found by Cap? We don’t know for sure.
All we do know, is somehow Bucky has been amped up to the point of having the ability to survive a fall of a thousand feet in freezing, snowy winter conditions. Bucky doesn’t get resurrected until decades later as the brainwashed The Winter Soldier who has changed so much over the years his best friend, Steve Roger, doesn’t even recognize him.

In 2012, IGN listed Bucky as #8 of “The Top 50 Avengers”. The latest Marvel Avengers movie is the Avengers: Infinity War released in 2018. In this latest Marvel film Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, the Hulk, the Black Widow, the Black Panther, and the rest of the Avengers superheroes all unite to battle their most powerful enemy thus far… the evil Thanos. Thanos is from one of Saturn’s moons, Titan.

Decades after Bucky is believed to be dead somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, he resurfaces as the brainwashed Winter Soldier with no memories of his life with Captain America. Politics and Cap’s loyalty to Bucky drives a wedge between Ironman and Captain America. A Civil War happens between the Avenger superheros who are forced to choose sides. Meanwhile, a brainwashed Bucky Barnes is getting framed by Hydra for assassination attacks.

Shortly after Bucky goes missing in 1945, he is found by Hydra frozen with amnesia. Making a long story short, Bucky is brainwashed by Hydra, has his left arm replaced with a silver bionic cybernetic arm decorated with a red star, does Hydra’s bidding, and is then refrozen.
At first glance, all the Winter Soldier costumes featured below look to be exactly alike but they’re not. They are similar, but each costume has a subtle difference.
Included with this Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes costume is the faux leather top with attached silver sleeve to represent the deadly bionic cybernetic arm; a pair of black pants; a black faux leather vest; chest and shoulder straps; a waist belt and weapon sheath; a pair of left hand gloves, 1 silver full finger glove and 1 black fingerless glove; a pair of knee pads; and a black face mask.
The only difference between this Ezcosplay Bucky Barnes Winter Soldier costume and the Ezcosplay Winter Soldier costume featured 1st above is that this costume has 2 leg guard boot covers and the 1st costume does not include them. Another difference is the face mask. The face mask with this costume is attached to a faux leather neck piece. The mask in the 1st Winter Soldier costume featured is a separate face mask without additional attachments. Did I just make that statement clear as mud? I hope not. I hope I was able to make that clear enough to understand. LOL.
