The White Queen is a fictional character created by author Lewis Carroll. She is from his second novel, Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.

She is also known as Miranda of Marmoreal, the younger sister of Iracebeth, the Red Queen. Originally, her character was based on the white queen chess piece. There isn’t any mention of her and the Red Queen being sisters in the books. This is an idea for the films by Tim Burton.

White Queen Cosplay Costume Gowns

The White Queen arrives on the scene in Disney’s Tim Burton’s movie Alice in Wonderland. She also appears in its sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass. She is played by actress, Anne Hathaway.

Additionally, the White Queen character appears again in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and is played by Emma Rigby.

A gorgeous white costume gown fit for a Queen. The gown is made of Thai silk, with long organza sleeves, and layered chiffon skirts. The dress is covered in white lace and is accented with strands of pearls, gold braiding, and sparkling white and blue crystal gems.

A gorgeous handmade white gown exquistly replicated after the gown worn by Anne Hathaway as the White Queen in the Alice Through the Looking Glass film. It is the perfect elegant white gown to wear to a cosplay or comic con event.

Included with the dress is the satin and lace choker necklace embellished with two strands of faux white pearls. The top bodice is covered with lace and embellished with sheer white ribbon rosettes on each side of the bodice panel. Five strands of white faux pearls drape across the bodice from each rosette. The bodice ends at the waist in a V-shape, edged with elegant white lace trim.

The long sleeves are a soft white mesh, covered with sparkling silver crystals. They are attached to white satin arm cuffs below the shoulders and trimmed with white pearls. The sleeves gather at the wrists with sheer white ribbon ruffles.

The elegant full skirt is floor length and layered with organza. A top layer front panel is covered with sparkling crystal gems with a lace hemline. The dress skirt has shining glitter printed designs. The petticoat crinoline worn underneath to give the dress its fullness is not included. Look below to view a couple of options that will give you the same fullness in your dress skirt. The fullness of the skirt will bee determined by the amount of layers in the petticoat.

White Queen Cosplay Wigs

Unless you already have a head of platinum blonde hair, you will need to either dye your hair platinum or take the quicker, less permanent road, and wear a platinum wig. I have selected several different White Queen platinum wigs. They may look very similar but each one is a little different in quality and cost.

As long as your costume wig is taken care of properly you will get many uses for it. A White Queen wig can be used for several different costumes from anime characters to Game of Thrones Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen. I would wear it with a ladies Medieval, Renaissance, or Pirate costume too.

When it comes to synthetic wigs, the Japanese Kanekalon and Toyokalon fiber wigs are the best on the market. They feel almost as soft and silky as a human hair wig but at a quarter of the cost. They can be washed, dried, and styled like human hair because they are heat resistant. Whenever given the choice of a Kanekalon or Toyokalon fiber wig, it should be your first choice for theater and cosplay costumes, unless you can afford a human hair wig.

The Alice in Wonderland books were written during the Victorian era. I have found a nice variety of leather and lace Victorian style shoes and boots to wear with a White Queen costume dress. Choose the style you are most comfortable wearing. Most of them are available in both white and ivory.

Regal White Queen Long Hooded Cloaks

During colder seasons, the White Queen will need a warm white cloak to wear over her gown when traveling to costume events. A cloak enhances the look of the costume while keeping you warm during your travels outside.

I have selected cloaks in a variety of fabrics to wear with the White Queen gowns. Most of the cloaks are available in both white and ivory The wool blend cloak and the velvet cloak are only available in white.
