The Black Panther was first seen in Marvel Comic books in 1966, with the Fantastic 4, as the first black superhero in the Marvel Universe, but he didn’t hit the big screen in a starring role until 2018. He had shown his face in the Avengers and in Captain America: Civil War, but this is the first Black Panther, Luke Charles movie.
T’Challa, the Black Panther, is the first biological son of T’Chaka, king of the African nation of Wakanda. Wakanda is a fictitious technologically advanced African country which contains the only source of a rare ultra-durable metal called Vibranium. Black Panther is a mantle passed down from generation to generation of warriors in the nation of Wakanda.
T’Challa became Black Panther by anonymously challenging his uncle S’Yan for the mantle and won. With this victory, he gained the title of Black Panther. S’Yan happily stepped down, so his nephew could rule. T’Challa then took a mystical heart-shaped herb to link himself to Bast, the Panther God. The herb also enhanced the new Black Panther’s superpowers, making him almost superhuman.
The Black Panther, under the identity of “Luke Charles”, teamed up with Captain America to battle Baron Zemo. After defeating Baron Zemo, Captain America asks the Black Panther to join the Avengers.
T’Challa becomes king of Wakanda when his father, T’Chaka gets blown up at the U.N. in the Captain America: Civil War movie. T’Challa tries to save his father from the blast but fails. He then takes on the responsibility of both the king and Black Panther.

Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther made his debut in the Captain America: Civil War Marvel movie in 2016. At the end of Civil War, T’Challa hides Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier (whose in cryo-sleep) in Wakanda. In the Black Panther, when Bucky awakens (presumably some time after the film’s events), the children of Wakanda give him the nickname of White Wolf.

I found a really good variety of well made, high-quality costume mask to top off the Black Panther costume. Each mask has a slight variation in design, each mask is made from a different material, and each mask is a different size. Check them out and pick the one that works best for you. I recommend investing in a small bottle of silver acrylic paint and a small paint brush for any touchups the masks may end up needing.

Erik Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan, is King T’Challa’s cousin and the villain of the Blank Panther 2018 movie. Killmonger arrives in Wakanda as a conqueror. Erik’s father, N’Jobu, orchestrated the theft of the highly prized vibranium metal. His plan was to arm black people all over the world in a fight against oppression. N’Jobu is killed by T’Chaka, T’Challa’s father, for his insubordination attempt to end the centuries-old secret that has kept Wakanda safe from the rest of the world. T’Chaka abandons Killmonger in Oakland, California, leaving Killmonger an orphan where he grows his father’s seeded idea of global liberation of the black race. Global liberation is not his real goal, however. His real goal is world domination, much like the goal of Adolf Hitler.
Killmonger states, “The sun will never set on the Wakandan empire,” aping an old saying of the British Empire. He sees no future beyond his own dictatorship so he burns the mystical heart-shaped herbs used by the Wakandan monarchs to gain superpowers in a ploy to end the advancement of his own people. Killmonger is the epitome of gangster hierarchy in the US.
T’Challa returned to Wakanda to find his homeland threatened by Erik Killmonger. Killmonger had been ravaging villages to attract the Black Panther’s attention. The two battled to the death.

Okoye, played by Danai Gurira, is of the J’Kuwali tribe and the fearsome general of the Dora Milaje, the Wakanda kingdom’s armed forces. She is also the head of Intel. Okoye is a major female role in the Black Panther Marvel movie.
This Okoye cosplay costume set includes the top, pants, an apron harness, a pair of shoulder pauldrons, a harness strap, neckwear, and hand guards. The weapon spear and the boots are not included, however, they can be purchased separately below.
